Reliant Valve fabricates both full and partial weld-on jackets on any number of valve designs . In order to prevent an adverse reaction to the product flow, efficient temperature transfer is crucial in eliminating possible pockets of thermal variation. The heating or cooling medium comes into contact with the exterior of the valve body providing reliable temperature migration. Standard jacketing materials are steel,or stainless steel but other materials can be used. After the fabrication work is done, all jackets are tested underwater with helium @ 200 PSI. When assembled, the process end of the valve is tested to API 598 - ASME 16.34 standards. There are several design considerations when ordering a jacketed valve. The list below can be a help guide in finding the right jacket configuration for your customer.

Jacket Configurations



Full Jacket / Oversize Flanges 
A full port 2 Pc ball valve when fully jacketed will be lengthened E-to-E, requiring over-size flanges and two jackets, one on the valve body and one on the tail piece.This design offers full converge without covering the center valve body flanges.
Depending on the valve design, the number of
outlets on each jacket is either two or three. Full
jacketing is possible on most any valve design.
Partial Jacket / Standard Flanges
Only the center section of a partially jacketed
valve is enclosed. The temperature source
effects only the middle of the valve,but the
ends and flanges are effected indirectly.Most
valve designs can be jacketed in this way.
When full jacketing is not necessary, partial
jackets can be a simple and economical way to keep your customers products flowing. 
Full Jacket/ Standard Flanges
The full jacket /line-size flange design offers full jacket capability on a standard flange valve. The 
jacket extends from flange end to flange end with
blind threaded inserts welded front and back into
modified bolt holes. The jacket is welded to the
outer diameter of the valve`s flanges and then to 
the valve body. This type of jacketed valve is 
installed with threaded studs.
